Mary Walsh – Managing Director
Colbha Consulting was founded and is managed by Mary Walsh, a renewable energy lawyer with a broad range of project development experience.
After graduating from Trinity College Dublin, Mary started her career working for international law firm White & Case and subsequently a FTSE 100 energy company. She has a wealth of experience in energy infrastructure and developments having worked on a range of projects across Europe, Africa and the Middle East. Moving beyond practising law, she now focuses on working alongside clients to assist in their strategic planning, drafting and negotiating commercial and finance arrangements and managing transactions from start to finish. Her commercial awareness and efficiency in getting things done has seen her manage finance, M&A and strategy projects for clients across the renewable energy sector.
Passionate about sustainability issues, she has published a number of articles in regional and national press in the UK.
Previously a British Council Climate Champion and one of the London Sustainable Development Commission’s London Leaders in 2011.
Alexander Beckett – Associate
Alex joined the team in 2012 bringing technical and environmental management expertise.
A dedicated environmental sustainability professional, Alex has previously advised Ealing Council, LSx, Hyder Consulting, and Ham Hydro C.I.C. and has worked on a range of projects including waste reduction, food sustainability, electric vehicle, air quality, voltage power optimization and hydropower development.
Alex completed an MSc Environmental Management for Business and became a member of the Institute for Environmental Management and Assessment in 2004.
Louise Kingsley - Associate
Louise is an experienced lawyer and commercial consultant. Working on major energy and infrastructure developments throughout her career, she has experience across the UK, Asia and the Middle East and has worked in both private practice and in-house.
Louise has recently gained an MSc in Sustainable Development and Climate Change from de Montfort University and is passionate about renewable energy projects and decentralised energy as part of the move to a low carbon future.
Louise now specialises in providing commercial advice to low carbon projects. She combines a commitment to and interest in the low carbon energy sector with extensive experience of the commercial aspects of developing, constructing, financing and operating power generation facilities.
Louise also works with City based UK charity Carbon Leapfrog with its policy initiatives.
